0:00 Looking at the world today
Look at this passage in light of what we're going through. I look at this passage in light of what's happening in the world today. It's just unprecedented. Like we have said before and we will say it again, the situation in the world today is unprecedented. I've never seen anything like, I'll be 69 in July and I've never seen...
Are you trying to get in with birthday treats? What? Are you trying to get in with the birthday treats by telling us your birthday is coming up in July? July 6, but I would never mention that. No, I'm not really trying to do that.
I'm trying to bring ourselves to what we already know. And we're fearful. People are so scared of what's happening today, it's unbelievable. The fear and the fear mongering is there. We look at the situations today and like I'll be 69 on July 6 and I've never seen anything like this.
I was born in 'fifty two so you do the chronological, I graduated from high school in 'seventy. That was in the height of the Vietnam War, etcetera, etcetera. And I've never known, I've never seen the fear that people have today that they're facing, even Christians. And we look at this and I ask myself the question, you know, how how do we survive in a dangerous world? And it is incredibly dangerous.
We're looking at the possible demise of The United States Of America. I mean that is a strong possibility. We're looking at a one world government type of thing. We know that the next thing on God's calendar is the rapture of the church but we're looking, we're staring these things in the face. Pandemics.
I've got a 2006 article that I left at home but a 2006 article that talks about pandemics and how the world will try to control it and how the UN will try to control that. Also the UN will try to put kibosh on the sale of firearms. And it's unbelievable what is taking place. How do you, how do I survive in this dangerous world? And it is indeed dangerous.
With critical race theory being taught in the academies, with the United States military academies, with these things being taught in schools and all these kinds of things, you think to yourself this is unbelievable. Also the whole issue with critical race theory, it's anti God. This is not anti white, it's anti God. And these guys are trying to foist that upon society to change society. How in the world do we live in this dangerous world?
Psalm 37. Psalm 37 gives us four steps four steps on how to survive in a dangerous world. And I'd like to look, I appreciate appreciate you bro for reading that all 40 verses for us. Appreciate it. With inflection.
It was good. I'm reading from the King James and I like the King James better because I think it reflects some of the words that will we're going to talk about. When you see words like fret or you see the word like trust or you see the words and there are a number of them here, trust, delight, commit, rest, cease, and then you have depart, wait, mark. These are all King James words but the Hebrew is incredible. The Hebrew is unbelievable in terms of what it reflects to us.
It's in the just to just to let you know how stupid I am and but it is in the imperative. If something is in the imperative, that means you've got to do it. You know, if somebody says to you, if somebody says, hey, sit up. You know, that's an imperative. That means they they want you to sit up.
You know? Or they say to you, march or it's an imperative. It's something... Or stop. That's an imperative.
Grammatically, that's an imperative. Every word that I just read to you is in the imperative second person singular in the Hebrew. Second person singular, which means this. It means this and this only. You fret not.
You commit. In the Hebrew, it's clear as a bell. It's the same way in the Greek. Second person second person singular imperative means you do this. You obey this command.
5:37 The imperatives: fret not, trust, delight, commit
You rest. We're going to talk a little bit more about this. You cease and then it and then looking over on on you depart, you wait, you mark, you do this. Okay. So, I appreciate the social distancing and all that kind of stuff but don't let you think that because you're socially distanced, you're exempt from obeying the word of god.
Don't let yourself at all think that you're exempt from what he is asking us to do because it's in the first person or second person singular imperative which is telling us that we, me, you have to do this. How do we survive? You know, we gotta look at these four steps. Let's look at these four steps. What are these steps?
David shows us the step of survival. We realize from the lord and there we we're going to go all over the place in this Psalm. Different verses and then David shows us the step of survival. We rely on the lord and then he shows us the step of survival. We rest in the lord and then also in the last last one, we rejoice in the lord.
We rejoice. So, let's look at this. We realize from the lord. We realize and fret not. What don't we, why don't we fret?
Notice what he says, fret not thyself because of evildoers. Neither be thou envious of against the workers of iniquity. Fret not thyself because of evildoers. We look at the world today and that's all we see. We look at the news.
We look at our news apps. That's all we see is just incredible evil. We see incredible evil being passed and as as Isaiah said, this this is really crazy, isn't it? Isaiah said that people are going to call evil good and good evil. And that's what they're doing.
Nothing wrong with this, you know, these riots that people die and defund the police and all this. We're seeing people calling evil good and good evil. And he's tells us not fret not thyself. You know, fret not thyself because of evildoers. Fret not yourself because of evildoers and so he's telling us, he's telling you, he's telling me not to fret.
Don't worry about them. Don't fret over these guys. Don't get home. Ho. Ho.
Ho. What's going on? What's going on? He is going to tell us what's going on. He is going to tell us who's going to have the last word.
And then isn't your dentist? He's going to tell us who's going to have the last word in this world. That's exactly what he's doing. So, he says, fret not thyself because of evildoers. Don't do it.
Neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. Okay. So he says, fret not to us and he says this a number of times. Look at seven b. He says, at the last half of this because it says, fret not thyself because of him who prospers in his way because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Don't fret because of these people And then he tells us to look at eight c, the last fret not thyself in any way to do evil. Don't fret yourself to do evil for the evildoers shall be cut off. I wanna ask you a question. I I wanna ask you a question. Do you believe what you see in front of you or do you believe the word of god?
We look at the stuff in front of us and we're like, woah, we're overwhelmed by this. We, he's asking us, god is asking us to trust him and what he tells us. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of god. God is telling us what is going to take place And this is going to take place. They will not.
They will not have any kind of victory in the end. They will not do this. The evil, they will not have it and so he says, fret not. Fret not. Then he says, we need to realize not only in fret not but also envy not.
Look at verse one B. Neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity for they shall they shall soon be cut down like the grass and wither like the green herb. I used to landscape. We used to cut lawns. We used to bag it and put it all in the truck.
Oh, man. By the time we got done with that, we put it all in the truck. It stunk. The beautiful, healthy grass and merry and blue or fine fescue or whatever kind of grass we were cutting. We cut it.
It was nice, long. We gotta get the line straight and everything. We had to do it over and over by the way and that's what really made it a good job, you know, because you had to keep doing this but it stunk the high heavens. Barb and I were blessed with buying a house that the lady before us who passed away and we bought it from the estate. She planted tulips.
I mean gazillion, a lot of them. Not gazillions but a lot. Right? And there there there's people walk by the house and we would say hi and they, oh, your tulips look so nice. It's just so...
Oh, let us go. Little evangelistic tulip thing. And in my Calvinistic flowers and just give it give it give them to him and and give them one, that kind of thing. And I thought to myself, but now you know what they are? They're little stalks with little balls at the end.
That's it. Little... Where the little thing was. All the leaves are... All the petals.
I'm glad you're here. Petals. All the petals are gone. They look terrible. In fact, Barb and I gotta go home and we gotta trim and we gotta get them all out of there because it look...
Doesn't look good. Nobody's ever gonna come past our house and go, hey, nice little non pedaled stick sticking up in the ground. You know, that was beautiful. No. No.
This is how the wicked will be. This is how the wicked will be. No beauty to it, no no fruit to it in any way. They shall soon be cut down like the grass and wither like the green herb. Look at verse 11.
13:26 The meek shall inherit the earth
The wicked have drawn out the sword and have bent their bow to cast down the poor and needy and to slay such as were upright in their manner of life. Their sword shall enter into their own heart and their bow shall be broken. Take this to the bank. You can be sure. New Testament says, you can be sure that your sin will find you out.
God is no respecter of persons. He hates evil. Absolutely hates evil. And we'll judge it. And what the Psalmist is telling us is we'll see it.
We're gonna see that. So we realize and we don't fret, we fret not, we realize and we do not envy. I hope you have not said in your heart, have any of these individuals that have tried to destroy us, our culture, our religious views, all these kinds of things, I hope you have not been envious of them. Day is coming. A Baptist preacher one one time used to preach.
The famous he wrote this song, his name was R. G. Lee and he wrote a sermon called Payday Someday. And that payday is coming and this is exactly, this is exactly what David is trying to communicate to us. So, we realize one of the steps to survival is realize from the lord and then not only does David give us the step of survival is realized but also David gives us the step or shows us the step of survival, rely on the lord.
Rely on the lord. Look at verses three through six. Trust in the lord and do good. Doesn't that sound so much like Proverbs three, five, and six? Trust in the lord with all thine heart.
Lean not on your own understanding and all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths. This is a very similar trust in the lord and do good. So thou shalt dwell in the land and verily, thou shalt be fed. Okay. So I said at the outset, okay.
So fret, trust, delight, these are imperative commands for you to do and to obey. And by the way, it is not some existential liver shiver. Oh, I feel it. Yes, lord. You know, Oh, you can feel it and you can get excited about it.
No problem with that as long as it's real. As long as it's real because he is telling us to make a decision. Christianity is a matter of decision in your heart and in your mind. You make a decision. You either are going to fret or you're not.
You either are going to trust or you're not. You can't you can't... I I appreciate what you said today, you know? Bro, at the breaking of bread, you know, god is, you know, he's unbelievable. I mean, can't comprehend.
I'm finite. I can only focus on one thing. I'm... We never multitask. We can't multi.
I can't multitask. I can't walk and chew gum. It's very difficult. But when we look at this, he telling us to trust in the lord and do good. So, thou shalt dwell in the land and verily, thou shalt be fed.
Okay. So, why does he tell us to trust in the lord and do good? I mean, can't you see all this stuff? We, listen, we do not fight fire with fire. We do not respond in like kind.
What we do is we trust god and vengeance is mine. I will repay, saith the lord. We don't have the wrong emphasis on this. Some people said, yeah, I like that verse. Vengeance is mine.
I will repay. Says god. No. No. No.
He's going to do that. Our task is to trust god. To keep our focus on the lord. Nothing else. Actually, nothing else satisfies god but without faith, it is impossible to please him.
For he that comes to god must believe that he is and he is a rewarder to them that diligently seek him. And then you know that song, faith is the victory, faith is the victory, oh glorious victory that overcomes the world, right? You've sung that. I hope. It's a great song.
It's a great song but god is interested in your trust of him and in your trust of his word. I've often tried to define faith especially looking at Hebrews eleven and twelve. Trying to defy faith is the substance of things not seen, etcetera. And I'm going, what's faith? And I just found, I found, not just found it, but I when I found this, I thought, this is really good.
Faith is taking God at his word. It's simple. You're going to believe your circumstances or you're going to believe his word. You're going to believe the situation that you find yourself in or that you you find your culture in or you find your country in or you're going to trust god. Which is it?
You can't serve god or money. You have to make that decision. He is telling us to make the decision not to fret. It's an imperative. Don't fret.
20:25 Trust in the Lord, do good, dwell
My parents joined Menor Recreation. Lived in Willoughby. Menor Recreation had Olympic sized pool and all this kind of stuff and I remember standing there and my dad's in the deep and he goes, Come on jump in. I'm going, No. Come on jump in.
No, dad. I think he was like getting frustrated. Jump in! And I said, no, you know, so finally, I, you know, I did the, don't do the half hearted jump in. You can trust god He's trustworthy.
You can trust him in the minuteness, smallest things and the biggest things. You can trust him in everything. Trust in the lord. This is what he is telling us to do. It is a decision you make.
He's telling you to do this. So, if you're thinking, wow, I wish Frank was here. I wish Mary was here to hear this kind of. No, no, no. You.
It's you. You must do this and this is it. These are steps to survival and he's telling us to trust. Trust in the lord and do good and thou shalt dwell in the land and verily thou shalt be fed. The price of food is going up.
How can I how can I do this? There verily thou shalt be fed. God said he's going to do it. And then he tells us, notice this, look at verse twenty seven and twenty eight. Verses twenty seven and twenty eight.
He says, depart from evil and do good and dwell forevermore. For the lord loveth the just and forsake not his saints. They are preserved forever but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. The seed of the wicked shall be cut off. So, what is he telling us?
I'm going to have the last word. I will never fail you nor ever forsake you. So, I may boldly say, the lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do unto me. I cannot fail because he never fails.
So, how do I survive in this world? I must realize, I must really realize, and now I must really rely. There's nobody standing up except me. So, what does that mean? What does that mean that I'm standing up and you're reclining?
What you're doing is you're resting on the chair. You're resting. You have no problem. I, how many structural engineers do we got here? Besides Carl Reader.
You know, I mean, how many, how many structural engine? I don't see anybody coming and taking a chair and going like this. Well, I will just hold me up. I'm not sure. Oh, well, I'll I'll take a stab at it, you know.
Oh, man. Oh, man. Oh, man. Oh, it's holding me up. We have no problem.
We just come and plop down, move the books, whatever. We plop down, we try to talk somebody else from getting in our expansive air. You're in my seat. You know, can can I move... Can you move over here?
This... We have no problem with that. That's what it means to rely. To rest on him. To rest on him.
And then he tells us, notice this, wow, this is so cool. I I love this. Trust, full confidence, and then delight. You see this, I've said this before, but I'll say it again. Did you ever see a couple that have been engaged to be married?
It's disgusting. It is. It's like... And then they... They fawn all over each other, you know?
You know, I mean,
it just...
It's exquisite. Isn't she exquisite? Isn't she incredible? Oh, she's, she's, I'm I'm so happy about this. I take delight.
I I take great delight in her. And hopefully she's saying the same about you. Right? That's exactly what the word means. It means to take exquisite delight in something.
That's exactly what it means. So I mean a guy a guy is looking at a girl, know, his fiancee, and goes, look at the... I know every curve of your face. Well, I mean, okay, so like, you had to like park your mind on that for a while, didn't you? You had to stare at her?
That's kind of creepy. But just looking at each other and going, Oh,
look at the nose, I love the nose, I love the eyes and the shape of...
I know, you see, this is exactly what he is asking you to do for him and towards him. And the only way we can know how exquisite God is, is to look at his word and believe his word and look at it and say, yes, this is who my God is. And it is exquisite. He, I am so happy. I am so happy.
To be happy in Jesus, right? You have to know Jesus. Number one, you have to fix your mind on him constantly, constantly. Delight thyself also in the lord and he shall give you the desires of your heart. This is not the desires of your heart.
This is not where you're going to sing with that... What's that what's that rock star lady? Lord, won't you give me a Mercedes Benz? Everyone has Porsches and I must make a mess. I think it was Janis Joplin that sang that song, you know?
And no, God is not a gumball machine. He doesn't, oh God, you said you would give me the desires of your own. You rest and you delight in him. Your desires now are what he is desiring for you. This is what it is.
27:41 Commit thy way, roll upon him
I've seen a lot of rolling things, you know, lot of rolling things. You try to roll... You ever try to roll up something that's really heavy up a little incline? Try to do a a mower that's not, you know, a big, big mower, and without it, you have to put it neutral without it being on and push that puppy up. Okay?
He is telling us to roll on him. Our problems, our situations. He says, commit thy way. Roll upon him your way. Roll it upon him.
Trust also in him and he shall bring it to pass and he shall bring forth your righteousness as the light and thy justice is the noonday. Roll it upon him. And it's easy. It's really easy. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me.
From my, what does it say? How does it go? Burden is light. What is it? Nice and loud.
My yoke is easy and my burden is Yeah. My yoke is easy and my burden is light. God does not give you a burden that he cannot carry for you. The grace of god never leads you where his grace cannot keep you. He never puts on you more than you could ever possibly hear or feel or know.
He takes your burden. We roll it upon him. So I wanna ask you a question. What's your burden? What's your burden today?
I mean, don't don't, you know, I mean, what is the thing that has got you and weighing you down? Roll it upon him. He's asking you to do this. God is somebody said to me, you Christians, you Christians, you just, you just, you just take god as a crutch. I said, you have no idea.
He said, what do you mean? I said, I'm a basket case. It's not a, I'm not a crutch. I don't want to, he, I'm going to wholly lean on him. I can't handle it even halfway.
He's gotta take it. By the way, when you have handled your own situation, if you've not trusted god, how did that work out for you? How's that working out for you? I'm telling you what, how's the pain and the acid in the stomach and and the tenseness in the shoulders and all those kinds of things that take place when you hold on to your own stuff? How's that working out?
You want relief. He says, commit. I'll relieve you. Commit it. And then he...
And then and it just keeps coming. It just keeps coming. And he tells us to commit ourselves to him. And not only should we take the step of survival rely or realize from the Lord and rely on the Lord, but rest in the lord. Look at verse seven.
Rest in the lord and by the way, this isn't this this is an imperative second person singular that means you rest in the lord. It really means, you know what it means? It means what you're doing right now. Remain motionless Sit still. That's what it literally means.
Remain motionless. Sit still. Rest. Rest in the lord. This is what we have to do.
Remain motionless. We we are to rest in him, stand still, that's exactly what we're to do. That's exactly what we are to handle. In Joshua chapter 10, Joshua chapter 10 we see this I mean, we've got we've gotten Joshua chapter 10. We've got the lord.
Well, the lord really speaking to to Joshua in the first chapter and telling him that he was going to be with him but we look at this and we we're not going to read all the verses but it says, then spake, then spoke Joshua to the lord in the day when the lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel and he said in the sight of Israel, son, stand thou still upon Gibeon and thou the moon in the Valley Of Hagiralon and the sun stood still and the moon stayed until the people had avenged themselves. God did an incredible, what does he say? And what else, what else does god say to you? So, we see it in Joshua. God worked in Joshua and god god did something and it stood still and he worked an incredible miracle.
I want you to know something. The greatest miracle that ever happened to you is that when you trusted Christ as your personal savior and the greatest miracle that continues to happen as he will never leave you nor ever forsake you. This is what the greatest miracle. We look at Joshua and the months the moon standing still and the stars and the and the sun standing still. That's a great miracle but the greatest miracle is to change a human heart from sinner to saint.
And if you've received Christ as your savior, he is not only saved you and kept you from going to hell paying for your own sin. But he said, he that spared not his own son but delivered him up for us all. How shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Do you think god forgot about you? He god sent his son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for your sin and my sin, then all of a sudden, he forgets about you?
When you believe on him, that's a great thing. You got the stamp of of salvation in your heart. It's you know, the seal is there. You've got it. All of a sudden, god is abandoning you.
God is not there. He's on hold because he's hearing somebody some other great problem. You told us that god can handle it all. Because the scriptures tell us that god can handle it all and he can handle you. He can handle your situation.
So we rest and wait patiently for him. Fret not thyself because of him who prospers in his way because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. So we are to rest by waiting, rest by ceasing, and rest by forsaking. Cease from anger and forsake wrath. It's a relax, to cease from anger, it's to relax.
35:57 Cease from anger and forsake wrath
Okay, It's like gripping a rope. Relax your hand on it. When I played tennis in high school, our coach said shake hands with the racket. Shake hands with the racket. Now you've got to hold on to the racket of course, you don't want the thing flying and hitting your coach, you know, but you've got a relaxed hand and you step into the forearm and you step into the backhand, you know, even, flat and all that kind of stuff, but you shake hands, it's relaxed.
Same thing with a golf grip. This is exactly what it means for us, it's to relax our grip on this. Stop holding onto your own life, relax it and give it to him. Stop holding on and then getting angry. You know why we get angry is because we can't do anything about it.
We can't do anything so we lose our temper. We get so mad. I want to fight. I want to go untangle. Let's go and fight.
Let's go and come on let's do this. You ever get that way? Are you relaxed or tense in that? He is telling us to cease, relax, relax, and let god have it. Let god have it.
Cease from anger and forsake wrath. Fret not thyself in any way to do evil. And then when he tells us, David shows us not only the step of realization rely on the Lord and rest in the Lord, but rejoice in the Lord. Look at verse 16. We rejoice in his provision.
We rejoice in his provision. A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken but the lord upholdeth the righteous. The lord knoweth the days of the upright and their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time and in the day of famine, they shall be satisfied.
How are we going to provide for ourselves, you might say? God will provide. Oh, that's a pious platitude. No, that's a firm fixed reality. God will do it.
Many of you are in businesses that are hurting right now. Many of you are going, I don't know how we're going to do this. How are we going to keep keep our heads above the water in this kind of thing? Well, if you've followed the lord and you're doing what god would have you to do in terms of that business and that business model, then you can rest in the lord. If you're cheating people and all that kind of stuff, don't expect god's blessing.
But if you're doing what god would have you to do, rest in him. Rest in the lord. He will do it for you and we rejoice in the fact that he will do it. He will do it But then we see the... We see...
Look at verses 23 through 26. 23 through 26. Look at this. He says, the steps of a good man are ordered by the lord and he delighted in his way. Though he fall, he shall not utterly be cast on for the lord upholdeth him with his hand.
I have, I love this verse. I almost weep at this verse because this is exactly how I feel. I have I have been young and now I am old. Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread. Wow.
Is that a promise? Lord, is that a promise to me? Yep. That's a promise. So, you might be going on in years getting older.
Is god going to provide still? Yeah. You might be saying, I don't have, I'm, I, I don't, my back's against the wall. I don't know how I'm gonna do it. Trust god.
It's not a platitude. It's a firm foundational thing. God will lead you. God will show you. God will bring into you or to you all that you need.
He will do it. Why? Because he loves you and he's real. God is so real and then he tells us, notice this, notice verse 29. Oh, actually, yeah, look at look at verses, look at verse 29 through 31.
41:38 The righteous shall inherit the land
Do you get the idea from this that god is ministering to you? Do you get the idea that David is focused on Jesus or focused on the lord? You get that idea that he is consumed with god about god and his word. You get this idea Or is your quiet time? Is your quiet time just on our daily bread and in in the bathroom for ten minutes?
And I'm nothing against our daily bread. I love it. It's a great, it's a great tool but it should spur us to think more about him in our daily reading and our daily focusing on him. A friend of mine named Sam Cherryan, an Indian. He's a he's Indian and he said, his father, every morning got them up.
He was five years old, got them up at 5AM every day before he went to work and the whole family got together and he said, I can't imagine starting my day without that. Without a trust in god, without letting god have complete, absolute control. Well, when you look at this, we see rejoice in his pronouncements. I love this. 20 through 22.
The wicked shall perish and the enemies of the Lord shall be like the fat of lambs. They shall be... They shall consume into smoke they shall consume away. The wicked borroweth and payeth not again, but the righteous showeth mercy and giveth. Wow.
The wicked man watcheth the righteous and seek to slay him. Let me ask you a question. This is an aside. Do you think all that's going on now is an ideological issue? Communism versus capitalism and all that, do you think that that's what this is all about?
It's not. It's spiritual. It is spiritual. We're we're witnessing the results of it around us, all around us but understand something, your Christianity is on the line. Critical race theory is on the line to destroy Christianity, not just your whiteness or whatever color you are.
That doesn't matter. They are out to destroy you, your Christianity. What's that? It's a false gospel. Yeah, it's a false gospel.
Communism is a false gospel. I mean, it really is. God wants you to obey him and his word. Hey, I mean, Todd, tell us about that that pastor up in China. Just real quick.
Real talk about the guy with a thousand member church. My understanding is governor Gavin Newsom has forbidden bible studies, home bible studies in the state of California. That's as per a news source. I'm thinking to myself, what what's going on? Under the guise of COVID?
Under the guise of some, with a spiritual warfare that's going on. That is what is taking place. He is telling us to rejoice in his provision, rejoice in his pronouncements. Look at verses 32. Actually, look at verses 35 through 40.
I have been wicked. I have seen the wicked and great powers spreading himself like a green bay tree. Yet, he passed away and low, he was not. Yes, I sought him but he could not be found. Mark, the perfect man And this word mark is really, you know, means to watch, to guard, keep guard, to observe, to give heed.
Mark the mature or perfect man and behold the upright for the end of that man is peace. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together and the end of the wicked shall be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord. He is their strength in time of trouble. And the lord shall help them and deliver them.
47:17 Trust in him
You don't have to travel so much. I know it's great to be with you guys and all this kind of stuff, and I know I'm a little over. But I want to ask you a question. What are you gonna do with what you've heard this very moment? What are you gonna do with it?
48:03 Make the decision to survive
I am not going to do this. I'm gonna follow these steps of survival, because it's the only... I guarantee this, it's the only way you will survive. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart. Lean not unto your own understanding.
In all your ways, acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths. Would you make that decision right now? This very moment, let's pray, okay? And then during our prayer time, you make that decision. I want to obey this, okay?
Father, forgive us when we have not trusted you more. Ask you lord that we would. You have placed us in situations where we see the real score. We see the who's really godly, who's really, what is real evil. We're seeing it right before us, we're seeing it on television, it's in our cities, we see this, we cannot insulate ourselves anymore from it.
But we want to turn our eyes upon you and we want to look full in your wonderful face. We want to obey these imperatives, we want to trust, we want to cease, we want to fret not, we want to roll everything on you, commit our way unto you. We wanna wait on on you, wait patiently for him. Lord, help us, we pray. And we say to you, thank you for being here.
As a disciple said to the lord Jesus, you have the words of eternal life to whom else could we go? There is no one else and there is no other place but you. We want to trust you. And we ask these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
