This page is for believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and generally members of the body at Westlake Bible Fellowship to clarify giving and explain how to give and how funds are used.

First as a local church seeking to follow new testament principles we believe that giving should be as God guides to support or be a part of a ministry. This should be done with a cheerful heart. See 2 Corinthians 9:7 ESV:

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

In addition to giving from the heart, the gift is to come from the what has already been given to you by God. 1 Corinthians 16:1-2 ESV:

Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you also are to do. On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come.

Giving should not be from compulsion and it should never be as a status symbol. Jesus also talked about the problems when we give out of pride.

The result of right hearted giving can be the greatest of blessings both personally and corporately and the result from wrong hearted giving can be a curse both personally and corporately.

So with that in mind here is a little bit more about giving at WBF.

If funds given are not earmarked or designated for a specific ministry then here is how they will be used:

-If funds are given on the 1st or 3rd Sundays they will go to the general fund by default.
-If funds are given on the 2nd Sunday they will go to commended (formally sent and supported) workers.

-If funds are given on the 4th Sunday of the month they will be split between missions giving and general fund, 50/50.

-If funds are given on the 5th Sunday of the month they will be split between Camp Li-Lo-Li and general fund, 50/50.

-If funds are ear marked to be for a Sundays 1-5 in a month then they will be distributed or designated per above.

All other non earmarked funds and given at other times will default to the general fund.

Generally the offering can be given by placing funds in a small offering basket in the sanctuary on Sunday.

You can also approach the treasurer George Limpert for him to personally collect the funds.

Funds given in person at the building can be paid through cash or check made out to Westlake Bible Fellowship.

Westlake Bible Fellowship has a Zelle account (bank to bank transfer method with out fees) and you can reach out to the the treasurer (George Limpert) at accounting@westlakebible.org for help in setting that up to give with out any fees being deducted.
