0:00 Actions of the Holy Spirit

We're going to get started back again. We'll we'll go through our next our next time here. We'll pick back up with some of these actions. Actions of the Holy Spirit and we may have some other folks joining us as they wrap up the cleanup and move this way. So, let's let's pray here as we we begin.

Our heavenly father, we do give thanks. We're thankful father for these truths, these scriptural truths that we can find, that we can glean from the word. Father, as we're able to take a little bit of a timeline and consider some of these aspects of the spirit's working, we know that these things are heavenly. These things are spiritual and we're trying to comprehend them with our our finite minds and so father we pray for help in that. We we pray for a good understanding.

We pray that we would be able to take these these facts, these principles, these these truths, and be able to live our life in a way that's pleasing to thee. We pray, father, as we consider the Holy Spirit that we'd be drawn closer. We do know that the aspect, the spirit always points us to god the father or god the son and so we we admire that and we'd like to duplicate that in our own life as we consider the various works of the spirit. We pray this now in Jesus Christ name, amen. I did fail to make that observation as the spirit gives us power to witness.

1:48 Spirit directing us to Christ

Let me read that again. The spirit filled life is the normal condition of the believer. And so that is certainly a goal for us as believers. Right now, we've we've gone through these we talked a little bit briefly. I I agree briefly about the spirit's work before salvation.

2:32 Spirit's work at salvation

Like I said before, you will see you you can tag other scriptures for some of these things. The spirit allow empowering us to witness could also be seen in other other references and and now, we're going to see in John chapter 16, the spirit to guide us into all truth. Notice verse 13 with me if you will. John sixteen thirteen, Howbeit when the spirit of truth has come, the Holy Spirit, he will guide you into all truth for he shall not speak of himself but whatsoever he shall hear that shall he speak and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me for he shall receive of mine and shall show it unto you.

All things that the father hath are mine, therefore I I said I, that he shall take of mine and shall show it unto you. A little while and you shall not see me again and a little while you shall see me because I go to the Father. So we have this little phrase, we want to grab that phrase there, when the spirit comes, the spirit of truth, he will guide you into all truth. The spirit as a guide. Now, we're going to look at a few other references here to to help us understand this but what do you think of when you think of a guide?

A guide, yeah. And potentially get your hands caught in that rock. Yeah, Somebody else raised their hand over here. Roger. Someone out front.

Someone out front. That's that that's a good definition of a guide. Yes. Someone giving information. Okay.

5:07 What is a guide?

Any any other thoughts there? Now, I really appreciate Bob's Bob's example of a guide down a river. Anybody been whitewater rafting before? Yeah, it's a good good number. Hey, we actually we should get up a trip and go, you know?

It's weather too. It might be white. Well, it would be white water but ice water, But you, those of you that have been on a white water raft tour, you do have a guide. I mean, most who did, anybody done the Nana Hala or the New River or you know, some of those, what, do they have white water raft in Ohio? No.

No. Okay. Yeah. Got you. Alright.

Okay, gotcha. Oh, yeah. Well, the new, on the New River and yeah, okay. So, they they would require a guide and these these fellows typically, I mean, they know what they're doing, right? They're they're in the boat with you.

So, you've got your group. They're in the boat with you. They know the river. They know where the problem areas are. They know where that rock is that you need to to get around.

They are calling out instructions, right? I mean, you you get in the boat, you get a little tutorial about like, you know, left side, left side and and you you're on the left side, you know, you better you better be there and just to whoosh, whoosh, right. Okay, left back. You know, he's he's calling out instructions for you. He's he knows where the best place is to stop for lunch, right?

I mean, so, the the god, I mean, who would want to go? Well, I mean, you really want an exciting time, you would want to maybe go without a god but what what a tremendous asset the god is, right? We want the god. I mean, like like maybe you're a hunter and you sometimes we have guided hunts for for whatever game you're pursuing. The the guide knows the drill.

He knows what to wear, what not to wear, when to go out, how long to stay, where the game is going to come from. So, you get the point, right? So, the Holy Spirit is given to us as a guide. I want to say that man, I don't care whatever stage of life you're in. Whatever stage of life you're in, whether it be that you're a youngster, like Philip here, he doesn't have that many cares right now, but who wants to know if you're of the college age?

Who wants to know what school to go to? If you're the Marian age, who wants to know who to marry? If you got through school, who wants to know what job to take? And that we when we think about guide, we we almost automatically gravitate to that period in life, don't we? A lot of time, when we think, marriage, know, if you're a guy, know, like, what woman to marry, you know, what am I going to do?

Marriage, job, school, school, you know, all that is floating around in my head. I gotta really seek god's will for my life, right? You know, but for those of us that are not in that stage, Who wants to know how to parent their children? You know, who wants to know what what nursing home to put their parents in? I mean, people struggle with that kind of a I mean, like you're, we're faced, we're faced with things you know, when do you sell your house?

When do you, all through, when do I change jobs? Should I give the blessing to my daughter that wants to marry this goofball? You know? I mean, like we're we're faced with all these decisions, right? All through life and we think, you know, we're we just recently were one of the couples in our in our local meeting there was making the decision like we know we need to move into a into an assisted living but we don't want to.

We know we need to put our house up but we don't want to and they're asking for prayer. Can you think god could guide us in the, I mean, like and so, I see the need for a god from the cradle to the casket, right? I mean, you're the need for the guide is there and so guess what? You got one. If you're a believer in the lord Jesus Christ, does the spirit of truth will guide you, will guide you.

10:16 Spirit's actions: guiding and leading

We're going to we're just going to go in a a sequential order here. And you're going to see the the spirit working and remember we're we're we're exploring the spirit as a guide. We're we're exploring the ability for the spirit to lead, to guide, and so in if you're in the book of Acts, look at chapter eight and verse 29. Chapter eight twenty nine, then the spirit said unto Philip, go near and join thyself to the chariot. Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch.

Flip over just a couple of chapters to chapter 10 and verse 19. Acts chapter 10 verse 19, while Peter thought on the vision the spirit said unto him behold three men seek thee arise therefore and get down, get thee down, go to them, doubting nothing, for I have sent them and so we see the Peter being led of the spirit, the spirit's guiding. Go to chapter 13. Look here at chapter 13 verse two. Again, what's the action?

What does... What action is the spirit doing here? As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit said, separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I had called them. Look at verse four, so they being set forth by the Holy Ghost or led they departed unto Seleucia and from thence they sailed unto Cyprus. Look at chapter 16, Acts chapter 16 and verse six.

Now they had gone now when they had gone through Pharaoh and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia and they were come to Messiah and they assayed to go to Bithynia but the spirit suffered them not. So the spirit's guiding them. Here's an example of forbidden, being forbidden by the spirit. Go to Romans chapter eight. Romans chapter eight and verse 14.

Here we see a different word for for as many as are led by the spirit of god, they are the sons of god and so, we have this in the gospel. The first reference we looked at was John, right, in the Gospel and it's Jesus, the Lord Jesus is predicting or explaining when the spirit is going to come, He's going to guide you into all truth. Now the book of Acts, we looked at several different things and we know that that these are examples of how the Spirit worked in the book of Acts. And you might say, well, He doesn't do the same thing like that today, and well you would be, He, we would say He can do the same thing, We're looking for the characteristic or the trend of how he was leading people's actions, right? And so, yeah, you're probably not, you know Roger's probably not going to be translated.

He's talking to one of his customers and he's going to be sent over to North Olmsted to talk to an Ethiopian unit, right? That's probably not going to happen just because we don't see that in experience, but but the Spirit did that, right? The spirit led Philip in that way. Then we saw some other examples of how the spirit was working and the spirit was leading. Now we get to Romans, okay?

Now you're beyond the transition. As many as are led of the spirit, right? So you and the the epistles you're starting to build on this same the same aspect of of the spirit guiding, the spirit leading, right? So, we see it as an action of the holy spirit and you know what? It meets a great need for us.

It meets a great, I have the need to be led. I need a guide. I want the guide. Sometimes I want to do it my own way. But if I'll seek, I'll be yielded, I'll seek that direction, I'll seek God's leading.

The spirit, one of the spirit's actions is to lead. My responsibility is to follow, right? I can, here's an here's an aspect. I can bucket, you know? I can go a different direction.

I can not follow that leading but the action that we want to see is the spirit lead, the spirit guides. Let's go to the next one. Romans, you're, are you back? Are you in Romans? You are, aren't you?

16:04 Spirit's actions: shedding God's love

This is talking to the believer. And so in verse five, we see And hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us. So here's the action. The love of God is being shed abroad in our hearts. Somebody give me a description of the love of God.

The cross, who said that? Scott, yeah. The cross, Calvary, sacrifice, Romans says, god demonstrated his love toward us and that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. He died for us on the cross. That's great.

The love of god. Another description of the love of god. Okay. Yeah, like first Corinthians 13, right? First Corinthians 13, God's love being described, agape love being described.

So we want to see what the Spirit's doing here. It's saying that the love of God will be shed abroad in our hearts. If I'm a believer, One of the things that the spirit's doing is as the spirit's dwelling, the spirit's there, he's going to allow the love of God to be shed abroad. Let's see. Over at what's the what's the place over here?

Camp or the island? Perry's Monument? Put In Bay. Put In Bay. Do they have a lighthouse on Put In Bay?

Yeah. Yeah. There's a lighthouse on Put In Bay. In North Carolina, we got lots of lighthouses. The the outer banks, you know?

I tell you what, when everybody do a little a little exercise with me, okay? And this is nothing cookie, okay? So, close your eyes and I'd like you to picture a lighthouse, okay? Picture a lighthouse. You might, it might be the one I ever put in bay.

It might be one of the North Carolina ones with diamonds on it or yours might have stripes or whatever. Okay, you got this lighthouse pictured, you know. You got a lighthouse pictured and so it's dark, okay, obviously your eyes are closed, right? It's dark and I want you to imagine your lighthouse is on, okay, it's dark but your lighthouse is on and do you see the rays shining out, breaking that darkness? You see that the rays coming out of your lighthouse and it's shining through the darkness.

It's piercing through the darkness. Okay, you can open your eyes. You got that visual? You got, did you see, what you just got there? The love of god is being shed abroad in our hearts and that's what I envision, right?

That's what I envision that I've got something big. God's love, the same love that that drew salvation's plan, right? The same love that brought it down to man that that hymn that says, you know, and the same love that took Christ to the cross. That same love is being shed abroad in my heart. It's it's shining out there and it should be hitting Jenna.

It should be hitting Carlin. It should be hitting John, Don, and Cathy. I mean, the love of god is shining out there. I can't suppress it. I can't suppress it.

It's god's love. It's the same love that that put sent Christ to the cross. I can't suppress it unless the spirit's hindered. I can't suppress it unless the spirit's grieved and this is the action of the spirit. One of his purposes, one of the things he wants to do, one of the things he's he's he's ready to do is to take that love and shed it and and to shine it.

You know, maybe you've had instances in your own life. Have you ever, have you ever met somebody for the first time and you genuinely had a care and a concern and a love for them? Have you ever like maybe passed a homeless person and your heart went out to him? Have you ever talked with someone maybe in an elevator, maybe you know, they they look like they got it all together but they you know they're lost. And you you have a desire like your the god's love is reaching out and so we've got that.

We've got the spirit is doing that action and you know what? It doesn't just have to be to the unbeliever or to the down and outer. That same love is shining to my brother and sister in Christ. That same capacity that I should be able to love the whole body, right? And we're talking, this is God's design.

I'll be the first to say we're poor executors. Right? I'm a poor executor of that. There are people I have a problem loving. Even believers, I have a problem loving them.

I have a problem receiving their actions. So, we won't get sidetracked on that. You got the action? The love of god being shed abroad in our hearts. So we got we looked at the spirit empowers us to witness.

The spirit is a guide to guide us, to lead us into all truth. The spirit takes the love of god and sheds it abroad in our heart. Now, let's look at your you should be close to Romans chapter eight. Let's look at this next one, Romans chapter eight and verse 26. You know, this just keeps getting better.

23:12 Spirit's actions: intercession and prayer

Sometimes, I don't know what to pray. Anybody want to share a difficult situation they're going through right now? We hit em, don't we? Sometimes, I feel like I'm leaving one difficult situation and going right to the next one. Like there's no space in between.

There's a time, this is back in in first Samuel. Remember when Samuel was talking talking to the people and and the people wanted a king. They said, give us a king so we can be like the other nations. Give us a man, give us a king so he can go out and fight our battles for us. And Samuel's saying, hey, he's trying to talk to the people saying, no, no, no, God is your king.

God is your king. God will fight your battles for you. So he has this interchange, you know, he has this situation going on and then we see, in fact we can turn there right quick. Hold your finger there in in Romans but turn turn over to first Samuel chapter eight. First Samuel chapter eight.

This is a good example for us as so you know what? If you're a prophet, this is a problem, alright? God, you know what god's design is, you know what god's instruction is, but the people are wanting to do something different and so Samuel's got this problem. So look at verse 19, first Samuel chapter eight verse 19 and so nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel and they said nay but we will we will have a king to rule over us. Verse 20, that we may also be like the nations and our king that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.

And Samuel heard all the words of the people and here's what I want you to catch. Samuel heard the problem, he's in the midst of the problem and what did he do? And he rehearsed them in the ears of the Lord. Where he went, he's praying, right? He's talking to God and he's telling them everything that the people are saying.

Samuel rehearsed these things in the ears of the Lord. God answers his prayer, tells him look Samuel don't worry, it's not that they're disobeying you, they're disobeying me and I'm going to give them what they want. But I wonder how long that prayer was that Samuel prayed. What do you think? You think it was a five minute prayer?

It says he rehearsed the whole matter before God. We see another principle here. The spirit is willing to... The spirit wants to make intercession for us even though we don't know what to pray. Here, why not rehearse the whole matter before God?

I just ask you, share a problem that you're going through. And no one felt comfortable enough to share their problem but hey, we're all family here, you know? But tell it to god. Tell him the whole thing. Sometimes, I don't rehearse it before god.

I just say, god, help. God, help. Change this. Stop it. But you know what?

Maybe I should do. I should maybe rehearse the whole matter before him. Be before God in prayer. In this Romans chapter eight, you set the stage for this to happen. The spirit also helpeth our infirmities.

We do not know what to pray when we should pray for what we ought, but the spirit makes intercession for us. But you know what? You got to be in an attitude of prayer. You gotta be praying. You might not know what to pray but pray.

You might just see, it's okay to sit silent before god. Pray, wait, pray, the spirit's leading. He's going to lead you into what to say. Spirits leading even if you don't know what to say. The spirit's intervening, making intercession on our behalf, right?

Taking our prayers, presenting them to god. He's working. He's a liaison. The spirit is is working on our on our behalf And then verse 27 into that, he makes intercession, prayers on our behalf according to the will of god. That's what we want, isn't it?

We're we want the will of god. That god's perfect will. We, that's what we want. That's what we want to be led in, guided in, and so it's all, it's all working together. So, the spirit make an intercession for us.

We read Let's look at Ephesians chapter six and verse 18. One other reference before we go leave that thought about the the spirit making intercession. Ephesians chapter six. Praying always. This is six eighteen, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit and watching there into with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

Praying and supplication of the spirit. So the spirit and the link with prayer. Turn to one other verse here, one Peter. One Peter chapter first Peter chapter five this we see prayer mentioned here in verse seven. Well let's read verse six, okay.

Humble yourselves therefore into the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him. This is that prayer. This is that glimpse of Samuel that we got. God I got a problem. I want to rehearse the whole matter before thee.

I'm going to cast all my cares before you God. The spirit, we don't know what to pray. We don't know how to solve our problem. I'm going to cast all my care before god. I'm going to I'm going to put it before him and he's going to pray.

He's going to intercede on our behalf. Now, notice this, it talks about, it talks about Satan in verse eight then look at verse nine tells us to resist Satan in the faith and notice this next part, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. You know we all have to deal with circumstances and problems that are outside of our control and you'll find this probably more often than not, I'm going through a hard time right now but then when I go and I I talk to Scott at the mealtime, I found out he's got a big issue in his life. He's going through right now and sometimes mine doesn't seem so big anymore. Alright, my heart goes up knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world, right?

And we could, when we connect with each other, our hearts go out to each other. We're going through some issues. We can bear one another's burden, but the Holy Spirit is there to intercede on our behalf. What a great god. I mean, like he, is he equipping us?

Is he giving us what we need to live this Christian life? I need direction. He gave me a guide. I don't know what to pray. He prays for me.

I need to witness. He empowers me to do it. This is great, right? Hey, anybody want to get saved tonight? Right?

I mean, but can't we live in the fullness of this? Can't we live in the power of it? It's not like that we're trying to tap into some kind of supernatural you know high, that's not it. But we've got the spirit of the living God in us and the spirits trying to perform these actions. I need to love other people, He sheds abroad His love toward others.

He's equipping us. He's given us what we need to do it. So, I mean Christianity just to have your sins forgiven, man, that's great. Just to get to go to heaven. Wow.

That's great. To avoid hell. Wow. That's great. But then you start looking at all these friends benefits, right?

I mean, like, he's given us these these things. We should, this should encourage our hearts, I mean it should encourage our hearts. We should ask, God why don't I feel you leading? Why why do I I I not why do I not witness? Your holy spirit is in me to witness.

Why don't I witness? Why don't I love my neighbor? Why do I neglect prayer? Altogether? Why didn't I pray about that problem?

The spirit's there to to do all these things. I mean, do you, I don't think I would call it a crutch, right? I mean, what's not a crutch? It's an enablement. It's a it's a help.

34:40 Spirit's actions: conforming us to God's image

Like I said, this is not an exhaust all the ones I have are not exhaustive. You you you could add some more but look at second Corinthians chapter three and verse 18. Second Corinthians chapter three I may have written down a wrong reference. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm in first Corinthians.

That's the reason. I looked up the wrong reference. Thank you. Second Corinthians three eighteen. But with all, just reading there at the end the chapter, but with all, with an open face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, we are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the spirit of the Lord.

We've heard this concept before, we're created in God's image and we are being conformed into God's image. Guess who's doing the conforming? The Holy Spirit. It's another action that the Holy Spirit has. That the Holy God, we were created in God's image, We are living this life and you know what?

A lot of those hard issues of life we're dealing with right now. What are they doing? They're helping us conform into his image. I see things in my difficulties that I would never learn any other way, right? God shows me stuff about myself that I did not know when the heat is on, right?

God shows me stuff about myself that I thought I had accomplished when that trial is put in my way. God shows me more about himself in the midst of that trial and so he's he's working on me. We sometimes call it knocking off the rough edges or sanding the rough edges, you know, sanding them off there but god's working. God's working and to conform us into his image, the holy spirit had that's another action of the holy spirit. Man, that's part of, remember I talked about like what we're going to be, we're sealed, what we're going to be in heaven.

It's kind of hidden right now and that's the future that we have have to look forward to. Go to with me to first John. First John chapter two. First John chapter two and we're going to read You know what? I wanted to make it.

You stay there in one John two and I want to read one more verse before I read this one because I want to make a connection for you. Listen to this, I'll tell you the reference after I read it just so you can concentrate on the verse. Now He, this is God, which establishes us with you in Christ, he hath anointed us and the word there I want you to catch is anointed. He has anointed us and he is god who has also sealed us and given us the earnest of the spirit in our hearts. So you see there's a connection here.

Paul is writing, this is in second Corinthians, don't turn there but right now, but in second Corinthians chapter one and verse 21, you can look at that a little bit later. The word anointing is mentioned, right? So now we have, we haven't read a verse yet about anointing, I don't believe. In first John, where you are, we're going read another verse that has anointing, but you see how it was connected with the spirit. The seal the seal was mentioned again, right?

And the earnest, both of which are in Ephesians referencing the spirit. And so God is doing this work and we've got the Holy Spirit is that anointing, that sealing, and that earnest. Look at first John chapter two and verse 27. We'll read verse 26, These things I have written unto you concerning them that seduce you, but the anointing which you have received and I'd like to suggest to you that that is that's the holy, he's referring to the Holy Spirit. The we we won't get sidetracked in the whole another area we could cover in the scripture or the symbols of the Holy Spirit given.

One was oil, the anointed with oil. The anointing of the Holy Spirit, the dove is another symbol, water is a symbol. So anyway, but the anointing which you have received of Him abideth in you, we're looking for the action now, and ye need not that any man teach you, but as the same anointing teacheth you all things and it is truth and is not a lie even as it has taught you, ye shall abide in Him. So what do we see? What's the action here?

40:51 Spirit's actions: teaching us

We go to the Cavs game tomorrow and poll people as they're coming out, hey, who would you say Jesus was? And some a lot of people are going to say, well, was a good teacher, right? I mean, he's recognized as a good teacher and guess what? The Holy Spirit is a teacher, right? The Holy Spirit is a teacher.

Jesus left. Did Jesus teach? Man, wouldn't you love to bet at his conference, right? Wouldn't you have loved to bet on the seashore? Wouldn't you have loved to be in the boat?

Wouldn't you have loved to been in the upper room, right? I mean, he was teaching, right? He was walking. He was talking. He was teaching.

When I will leave, there'll be another. Another teacher. The Holy Spirit teaches, right? One of the actions the Holy Spirit does teach you. There's there's a close connection that guides you into all truth, right?

Lead you, teach you, give you understanding. Again we're not we're not getting kooky here okay, we're not moving on the fringe but you seek God, you study, you read, you ask God, He will open it up to you, right? You'll grab things that you haven't grabbed before. You sit under the sound teaching of the word, things are going to be made understood to you and it's a spirit working. You know, the light bulbs going off.

Man, I never saw that before. I was sharing with Dave Williams the verse that the Lord had shown me and just recently Psalm one hundred nineteen one hundred sixty five. I've read Psalm 119 before. Psalm one or the verse 165 is toward the end. So, I may have been nodding off.

I don't know. You know, or losing it but I had not noticed this verse before. It didn't grab me been this way before. Great peace, great peace he gives unto them that love thy law and nothing shall offend them. Wow.

Great peace. Remember how I kind of tried to explain God's love and say the same loves in you? If God's gonna give great peace, how great do you think that is? Great peace unto those that love thy law. So, Where was I?

We Let me go back. The anointing, the teaching, right? He teaches us. He guides us in all truth. One of the aspects of the Holy Spirit again is to teach.

I'll give you one more. We will we will wrap it. We'll wrap it up after this one. I I'll tell you what I might do. I might just tell these to you.

You know, there's in in Romans chapter 13, we're told that the spirit gives victory over all flesh. Rachel and I had a conversation at dinner tonight and you know what one of the works of the spirit she told me? The spirit sanctifies and we see that in second Thessalonians chapter two and verse 13. You know another truth that we see in scripture, it's found in Ephesians chapter two and verse 18. It says that we have access by one spirit under the Father.

You could say, I mean this does relate to the spirit making intercession. You know, there's a there's a connection. There's an overlap there and we think about Hebrews chapter four and verse 12. That that I might have the boldness to enter into the holiest in my time of need to approach God an ever present help in my time of need. The spirit gives access to the father.

The spirit gives access but you know what he does? He points us to Christ. He points us to Christ. The Lord Jesus said, no man cometh under the Father except by me. Right?

And so we see again the trinity working together. The trinity working together. Ephesians chapter two and verse 21 I believe it is, it would say, unto him, unto him, God the Father, be all glory through the Lord Jesus Christ through the church age without end. And so God, he's got a wonderful plan. He's got, he's got god the father, loving, got god the son, making a sacrifice, god the holy spirit, providing providing pointing us toward Christ, the father sits overseeing everything, the son is preparing a place for us, The Holy Spirit is right here with us working until that day when the father says bring my children home and all of it's coming together.

You see how the orchestration's all coming together and the lord Jesus Christ says, yes, I'm done building. I'm sounding the trumpet and at the trump, We're all coming together, right? The rapture's going to happen. We may be here, we may not. The dead in Christ will rise first.

The Holy Spirit will be taken out of this world. Great tribulation starts. And so, god's plan, his plan, he laid it out but you and I, the trumpet hadn't blown yet, right? We're still here. You're going to face problems tonight probably when you go home.

I'm going to face problems tomorrow. I'm not there yet. But I'm a new man in Christ. I've been I I have I've been baptized into a body that's going to help me, that's going to be working together, that's going to be joined together, that's going to be that bride. I've been indwelt by God.

God in the spirit, I've been indwelt by God. I I have been sealed until the day of redemption. I can't lose all these things. I've been sealed. I've been filled.

Then all these actions that we've been talking about tonight, the witnessing, the guiding, the love, all these things are helping me through life. They're helping me one day at a time. It's God's work in me. So we've laid that foundation. Tomorrow morning, we want to continue along this topic and maybe you'll find, in fact, tonight, if you find some other actions of the spirit, bring em, okay?

Bring em tomorrow to share with us and we're going to talk about, well, as as the lord leads, we will we will talk about more of the holy spirit's work in in our own lives. But would there be any question or comment before we before we end our end our time here now? Wayne. Question. What are some ways that a person could question all the spirit Yeah.

I tell you what, let's get into that tomorrow. I think we will get into that tomorrow. It's a good question. I've been avoiding getting there. Not on, I mean, you know, just because I think that we need to deal with that topic length.

Because that's where this is, okay? It's like if I was going to test, if you were going out to test drive a car, if I was going to go out and test drive a car, I've looked at it, I've done my research on it. I see it's got power windows. It's got heated seats. It's got cruise control.

It's got everything I'm looking for. Right? And now I got a decision to make. Am I going to buy it? Right?

Am I going to buy this car? We, most of us, most of us accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as our savior and that's great. Wonderful. Not knowing all the benefits that there were. I'm not saying you had to know all the benefits, but if they're there, don't you want to use them?

That's the crux of one of the points that is on my heart to say, look, let's know all we can know about the Holy Spirit and let Him work. Let Him have control. I can I can give God I can give a God control who's going to lead me into all truth? I can give a god control that's going to he loves me. He's going to have me love others.

I can give a god control. All these actions, I want that in my life. And so, what Wayne's talking about is like, hey, would that be quenched or hindered or grieved? We need to talk about that a little bit more. That's the next topic.

Alright. Well, let's pray. You've been You've been troopers today. You know, we went from daylight till dark. So, you've been troopers.

Let's pray. Heavenly father, we give thanks once again. Father, we we really are amazed. We want to keep digging. We want to keep understanding.

We We think about when Paul writes and he talks about the multifaceted aspects of your plan and truly you you are an amazing god. We we see your beauties. We see the incredibleness of your of how holy, how righteous, how powerful, and father, we've we've kind of tried to comprehend some of the things about your overall overarching plan of redemption and we we do know that true peace, true satisfaction in this life is found in a life, in a in a life lived for thee. Father, we we give thanks for the holy spirit. We are thankful and we've tried to understand so many some of the aspects of the holy spirit's work in our own life.

Father, we do pray that the holy spirit would work and we would experience these things in a real way, in a helpful way. And so we commit this to thee, praying this now in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
