0:00 God judges sin
Alright. Father, we are so grateful for the lord Jesus Christ. We thank you that we can open the Bible and from that read what you have for us, what you have revealed to us, and we just pray that the Holy Spirit will be our teacher. Pray this in Jesus name. Amen.
As we've been looking at Genesis, we we said from the very beginning that we look at the Bible from a historical grammatical literal point of view and and as we've been looking at Genesis from the beginning, we noticed that that for chapter one and two have to do with creation, how god created the heavens and the earth and he created out of nothing, right? The invisible god created the visible out of nothing and and and so then chapter two continues explaining more detail of the creation, how he created man and woman and marriage and so forth. Then, we get into chapter three and four and of course, it's the fall where where Adam and Eve decided to disobey god, take the fruit, and as a consequence, sin into the world and from that point on, people people began to die and people became violent and and all of the consequences of sin that that we see today. And also right after man sinned, god made a promise that there was going to be a solution to that sin, to that death, and and that was going to be Jesus Christ and that's found in Genesis three and fifteen.
So, immediately, after man sinned, god already provided a way for man to be forgiven and giving eternal life. And after that, we see then that man is starting to expand the the population is growing and because of sin, man becomes increasingly violent, rebellious, man is is resisting god and and fighting god and so consequently, god says, I I can't I can't take this violence anymore, this rebellion against me. So, he brings the flood. He brings the flood and he judges the world through the flood and we're going to be looking at that in a minute in in detail. Then, after that, after the flood, they repopulate the the earth.
They start again if you will and he explains all the nations. So, we're going to be looking at that a little bit today too. How the nations came to be and where they're at. So, if you will, creation fall, flood nations. Now, this is mega important.
If you get this wrong, you can easily misinterpret the rest of the Bible. Alright? This is this is extremely important that we understand that this is historical, that that this is literally how it happened. It's it's not a fiction but it's literal and this is the foundation of the Bible. We we cannot reject this part because if you do, then the rest of the Bible makes no sense.
In fact, the New Testament often refers back to the first 11 chapters constantly to say, this was true history. Adam and Eve were real and so the Bible constantly goes back to to this truth, okay? So, having said that, go with me to Genesis chapter seven. What I'm going to do is is I'm going to just kind of pick some verses. I didn't want to go verse by verse because it's a lot of reading and it'll take up too much of our time.
So, I'm going to pick some verses trusting that you'll go back home and and look at the in between and and you'll see that that I was careful in in in my study. So, we're going to do that. Now, chapter seven is right in the middle of the flood, alright? So, let's start out with verse 21. So, give me a second.
4:05 All flesh died that moved on the earth
Notice verse 21, and all flesh died that moved on the earth, birds, livestock, beasts, all swarming creatures that swarm on the earth, and all mankind. Everything on dry land in whose nostrils was the breath of life died. He blotted out every living thing that was on the face of the ground, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens. They were blotted out from the earth, only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ark, the waters prevailed on the earth a hundred and fifty days. And so we see then that that god judged the world because of all the violence and all the sin and it was so bad that god says, I'm going to judge and so he did judge and and it makes it very clear that no one survived the flood.
Right? So so not only did did water come down from from heaven in a in a terrible way but from under the ground, it cracked open and and the fountains of underneath were shooting and so there was a terrible waves and and violence. There was earthquakes. There was all sorts of things. It would it wasn't just like, oh, it's raining heavy outside.
It it it included a big catastrophe and and and it was very severe because god, listen, and and here's what you're going to hear throughout. God judges sin. God judges sin and and he had to judge and notice who survived. Only eight people. During the whole time before the flood, god was announcing through Noah that he was going to judge the world and people thought, oh, he won't judge the world.
What are you preaching? Come on. You really believe that he's going to judge the world and and they were mocking and they were laughing and they were disbelieving his message. But as god said, the time came where god said, that's it. He they got in the ark, the ones that believed, god shut the door, and seven days later, the the great storm came, the the great judgment came and listen, no one survived.
Not an animal, not even a bird because there was nowhere for the bird to land and after a while, they they themselves drowned, right? So, it was complete and what does it show us? That that that god will not tolerate sin and he has to judge sin. He has to judge sin. So, you noticed also that he said that the land the ark landed well, we haven't got there yet.
We'll get there in a minute. Verse 22, we noticed that it said it was 15 cubits above the mountain. So, picture how much water, the highest mountain, it was 15 cubits above. So, that means it was 22. Five feet above the highest mountain.
You can just imagine how vast, how much water was there, right? And of course, you know that because of so much water and because of the earthquakes and and the tidal waves and everything that came with the tsunamis, you know that the the mountains were pushed up and upheaved and moved around and all kinds of things were happening and and so this is what the the text is teaching us to this point and it makes it clear that no one survived except those who were in the ark. Alright? Now, let's start out then with let's continue chapter eight and I know it's going to at first, it's going to be kind of like general information and then we're going to get to some application, alright? So, let's go to chapter eight and let's read the first four verses.
8:05 God remembered Noah and made a wind
And so, there were there were the the water was extreme. One hundred and fifty days later, finally, it it drained down enough to where the the ark was able to land and hit on some mountains. So, I'm going to show you a picture here. Just in case you don't know where it was but Mount Arat is up there and here's Israel to so you can get your bearings. Here's the Mediterranean Sea, alright?
The the Red Sea. So, the scriptures tell us that the the ark landed somewhere on Mount Ararat and for those of you who are wondering, no, they have not found it. All of those the things that you see in the internet that oh somebody discovered and someone taught from a distance but then they couldn't get there because of the ice and no one has found it yet, okay? But we know that the Bible is always true and we know that it landed somewhere around. No, they didn't say the Mount Of Era but the mountains because it's it's a mountain range.
So, somewhere in that general area up there, could everybody see it? Where it says Mount Ararat? That's where the the ark finally hit ground and then they had to wait more days into into the ground kept drying before they can come out. Alright? So, this is what the Bible is teaching that happened and of course, I got this from the daily Bible study.
You can get that online if you want to see maps and and such. Okay. So, so far then, we see that god judged. It it was a terrible judgment. No one survived.
Only those that were in the ark and all of the animals that that Noah and his sons brought into the ark. They're the only ones that that survived and so basically, they had to start all over again if you will, okay? So, let's continue our reading then and like I said, at the beginning, it's going to be some just information, some reading, kind of get your bearings in place and then we're going to do some application. So, let's go to chapter eight and let's start with verse 20. Well, why don't we start with verse 13?
10:47 Waters dried off from the earth
The ark landed. It dried out enough. They they came out of of the ark. Uh-oh oh by the way, the the total number of days that they were in the ark so when from the point where they got into it was three hundred and seventy eight. For those of you who are mathematicians, every time I do math numbers, someone gets me on that one, right?
Go back and do your investigation and if I miss it by a number or two, you can come and tell me and I'll be like, thank you, you know? I'll be alright with that. But 378 and what I did is I cheated. I went to a couple of commentaries and I and I trusted their numbers to be correct because I'm not a very good at math, alright? So, 378, alright?
Just take take it take it at face value for now. Alright, very good and plus, go go back and do all the math yourself and then, it'd be nice to talk about it if I missed it somehow. Alright, very good. Let let's continue our reading and so we're going to read from verse 20 and on now, okay? Noah built an altar after they came out of the ark.
12:44 Noah built an altar and worshipped
And Noah then full of gratitude for god's mercy built an altar and worship. That's how they did it back then. They would they would I guess they would put piles of stone together, make a fire, and and they would do some kind of offering, kill an animal, and offer it to god and and god accepted that because Noah was full of gratitude and full of worship and just thank you god that you you saved us through this terrible judgment and so they were full of gratitude and full of worship and god accepted that worship and so that's where we're at right now and then immediately god says something interesting. I'm not going to curse the world again through a flood and and he gives a reason why and I want you to note this because I'm going to come back to this. The intentions, verse 21 chapter eight verse 21, he knows that the intentions of man's heart is evil from his youth.
Alright. So, so, let's look at the the the broad picture. God created Adam and Eve perfect in a perfect situation and even though they were in a perfect situation and with a nice garden with everything they needed, Satan somehow fooled them. They they bit the fruit and then death came and judgement came. And the result of their children being born and multiplying was that they got violent, more sinful against god, and and they kept multiplying and they got to a point where god says, man, this this is horrible.
I'm going to judge this sin, this attitude, and he does it but then he realized, of course, he he didn't realize, we need to realize the fact that this, that even after judgement, even though these people who are in the ark were Christians, they were believers right after he knew they were going to start having children and multiplying, he already knew the intentions of man are evil. Because we have a sin nature. We're born in sin. So god is going to judge the world again but this time not by a flood Wow. What a revealing statement from god about us.
So, regardless of how sinful mankind would become in the future, John MacArthur says, god promised not to engage in global catastrophe by a flood again, alright? So, that's an interesting thing to note. So, let's continue reading verse 21. The intention of man's heart is evil from his youth. Neither will I ever again strike down every living creature as I have done while the earth remains.
Notice because there's going to be a time where the earth comes to an end because god's going to judge it again. While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night shall not cease and just to prove to you that god's word is honest and truth always. What do we have? What we we what we have the seasons. We have seed and harvest, right?
Well, we we have cold and heat, then we just get through a terrible winter and guess what? It's outside. It's getting warmer. So, we have cold and heat. We have summer and winter day and night and and so, god is just revealing to us this very fundamental information that that we we need to know.
16:25 Noah faced a whole new world
But now there's tsunamis, there's all kind that there's heat, There there's cold. There's hurricanes. All of this stuff also the the the sun's rays were penetrating and man wouldn't live as long. Started living shorter spans of time. And so all of this happened as a result of the flood.
Everything changed and and so Noah all of a sudden came to a whole new kind of living and all of a sudden, the lion looked at him and said, hey, you look good. I think I'm going to eat you, right? And so, they had to watch out for for the lions that that wanted to eat him. Of course, the lions started, he started seeing lions and other animals tear at each other and killing each other because everything changed. Everything changed but notice in chapter nine, in verse one, and god blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.
Doesn't that sound familiar? Genesis chapter one and verse 28, be fruitful and multiply, right? And so, here we go again because he's starting all over again. This time, there's not just two. Now, we have eight people but really the ones that are able to multiply were the three, the three boys, right?
And their wives And so that's where we're at right now. Let's continue. Verse two. The fear of you that is of humans and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth and upon every bird of heaven, upon everything that creeps on the ground and all fish of the sea. That's why when when we approach a deer or or animals in the wild, they all run from us.
But you can look out in a in a field and you can see a deer eating next to a rabbit next to a thing. But when a man shows up, it's like, watch out. Here comes man. So so let's continue. Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you.
And as I gave you green plants, I give you everything, but you shall not eat flesh with its life that is its blood and so, then he says, okay, now you can eat meat, right? So, you know, the old commercial, Arby's, we have the meat. I I love that commercial. That's too cool. If you haven't seen it, you need to or listen to it.
That that's enough. I love that commercial but now, we we can eat meat. Prior to that, everybody was vegetarians, right? And so today, you have all kinds of diets, paleo and and and caveman and and and all kinds of you know, diets and things. We have freedom.
We have freedom. You're not more spiritual. If you if you're a vegetarian, alright? So, I like my tacos with meat inside. So, so you're not more spiritual.
If you're a vegetarian or or if you're paleo or palico or whatever, all these names that they come up with these days, we have freedom to eat meat and vegetable. If you want to just eat vegetables, lord bless you. I'm going to enjoy my meat, right? And my ice cream on occasion and my things. We we have that freedom, right?
And and so, let's not try to make it more spiritual to eat certain foods. Now, it is healthier. Try to eat certain foods and and for my own sake, I I do watch my diet a little bit more. I'm starting to be more and more careful with that. Alright.
Now, notice the next thing. So, that he says that they have to drain the blood. Now, the same thing is taught in Acts fifteen twenty, even to the Christians that when you kill an animal to eat it, you have to drain the blood out. God doesn't want you to eat an animal without draining the blood. Now, in in my culture, the Mexican people where I come from, people tend to put the blood in a in a in a bowl and boil it and and eat it.
That pretty gross but I've I've seen them do it since I was a kid. I don't know why they do it. They do but I don't think that's right. We probably shouldn't do such things. The the the believer especially you should drain the blood of any animal before you cook it to eat it.
I think that's pretty much in the New Testament as well as the Old Testament. Alright. So, just in case you didn't know that, now you know. You have to drain the blood of the animal but notice the next thing, very important. Alright.
And for your life blood, I will require reckoning from every beast, I will require it and from man, From his fellow man, I will require a reckoning for the life of a man. Whoever sheds the blood of a man, by man shall his blood be shed. For god made man in his own image. Wow. Alright.
So, now we see something totally different. You can kill an animal for food. Alright, follow me but you cannot kill a man for food. So, god does not permit cannibalism. That is not permitted but we can kill any animal and eat it as we do, right?
We eat cattle and and and deer and and everything else. So, turkeys and chickens and all that. You can do that but you're not permitted period to kill a human being and also to to to eat the a human being, right? Even if an animal kills a human, that animal that did that needs to be killed. That's practice even today if a bear comes in and rips at someone who's camping, we they hunt that bear down and kill it, right?
It's just not right. You you don't kill a man because god god created man in his image. We're very unique, alright? And please, if I hear one more person telling me, I'm praying that my cat Fluffy is going to be with me in heaven and I can I'm sorry but the cat is not created in the image of god. Humans are.
Humans are. Right? And and so god said, you're going to treat humans in a special way and to be praying for something like that really to me. You need to be praying for souls to be saved. And hoping that they'll go to heaven, right?
And we need to watch this over emphasis today on pets, on animals. The the priority of god is humans. We are created in the image of god. We're unique. We're unique.
That means that we can talk with god and god consequently wants a relationship with us which me as we as humans shun god. We we we pull away from him and and yet god wants that relationship and he does whatever he can. He's drawing us to him and we're the ones that resist. The Bible makes it clear. No one seeks god.
It's god who seeks man. Not that we love god but god loved us first. That's what the Bible says and so, man is created in the image of god. We have a moral morality to us and someone says, I'm an atheist. Oh, yeah.
Well, then, me have your wife. Well, no. Oh, you can't do that. Why not? Where did you get that morality from?
Because god created you. So, as an atheist, you're not being honest. The the more true atheists are the ones in jail that don't care about any kind of law, right? But but a true a true atheist would would have no morality to him. There's no god but then, why do you have laws?
Why why why if someone murders, you're going to be the first one to sit in judgement and say that guy should be killed. Where'd you get that from? Because god created us in his image and we have that instinct in us being created in the image of god and so Romans 13 said that god established government to to uphold the law, right? And so somebody shoots someone right here, guess what? You're going be in court for murder.
But if you go and shoot a deer outside, well, I don't know about Westlake's rules and all that but go to the country and do it so you won't get in trouble. You'll be alright. You'll be alright. Okay? And so, these are just some some things that god established the the differences that are that are occurring now, okay?
So, remember, you're not an animal, you're not a monkey, you're created in the image of god, you're a human being, uniquely different, uniquely different with the soul that's eternal, that that Jesus Christ came to save. Alright? He didn't die for an animal. He didn't even die for angels. The Bible says, he died for humans.
Creating the image of god to save him so they can spend eternity with him. Alright. So, then, nine twelve to 17, I'm not going to read it. I trust you're going read it at home. It talks about the rainbow, okay?
So, there it is. Now, we have a rainbow to promise that he's not going to flood the earth. That's why we have rainbows And it's there. You're going to read it at home. Alright.
24:58 Noah's sons and the nations
Let's start with verse 20. Noah began to be a man of the soil and he planted a vineyard. Verse 21, and he drank the wine and became drunk and lay uncovered in his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father and told his two brothers outside. Then, Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it laid it on both their shoulders and walked backwards and covered the nakedness of their father.
Their faces were turned backward and they did not see their father's nakedness. When Noah awoke from his from his wine and he knew that his youngest son had done to him, he said, cursed be Canaan, a servant of servants shall shall be to his brothers. He also said, blessed be the lord, the god of Shem and let Canaan be his servant and and may god enlarge Japheth and let his him dwell in the tents of Shem and let Canaan be his servant. Alright and so we know then that that there's no line there in you know, not covered correctly and so Ham looked at him and he went and told his brother thinking his brother were going to get a kick out of looking at him too and the brother said, no, that's not right. We gotta respect him and they went backwards and covered him up.
As a consequence, there was there was a curse pronounced on on Ham specifically on his grandson and his son, I'm sorry. Noah's grandson. Noah, he didn't say ham. He said, Canaan. You're going to be a servant to Japheth and to Shem, alright?
And so this came this came true because of what he did. This came true and I'm going show you that coming up, alright? So, let me get to chapter 10. Chapter 10. Then, we see the brothers and their descendants and how they spread out, alright?
So, for the sake of time, I'm going to show you the the PowerPoint here. Alright. So, the three brothers started spreading out into the known world at the time. Can you see Jafut way up in the top? Is is it, can you see it?
Alright. And then Shem in the middle and Ham in the bottom. Okay? And so then, here's another another view. The red on the top and the red that's Japheth.
That's how they spread out his family. The the green is ham and and the and the blue or is that blue? Yeah. Blue is Shem. Alright?
Let me show you another picture. Here you go. The the in this case, the the purple here is is a Shem. The green on top is Japheth and and the brown is Ham's descendant. That's how they spread out through that known world at that time, alright?
So, you you can read chapter 10 and and look at all that and and and see something like this. You can go online and see these maps. There there is just put under the maps of Genesis chapter ten eleven and and they'll they'll pop right up, okay? But that gives you an idea of how they spread out. Now, notice where Canaan is right there in the middle of Israel and when when when the Israelites came and took over that land, the Canaanites did indeed serve the the Shemites, alright?
So, that came true. Here's a breakdown of it and and I'm not going to linger here but just so you can see, Japheth which is you notice more than northern, more the European, the Russian kind of people and and it'll say here, Europe and Asia and there's all his sons and therefore, you can find it in the scriptures. Then, you have Ham, four sons, Southwest Asia, Canaan, and Africa and those are his sons. Then, Shem, five sons, Middle East, the the Shemites, okay? Now, notice this this guy right here.
Can anybody pronounce that? Ark Pasha, something like that? No, underneath them. That that that's that's the line through where Jesus came from. Alright?
So, from the very beginning, there was there was a a royal line, if you will, the bloodline of Jesus and it came through him because from him came Abraham. Are you going to see that in the next week, in the next study, alright? So, this is very important that we understand how the how everything was laid out. The Bible's telling us after the flood, they started spreading out and that's where they went. Shem is where the Jewish people come from.
That's the Galilee seed, alright? So, it's important to understand that reality. Okay. So, let let let's continue and notice just real quick in 10/08, ten eight. At Kush, this is from Ham, right?
Kush fathered Nimrod. He was the first on the earth to be a mighty man. He was a mighty hunter before the lord. Therefore, he said, he said, like Nimrod, a a mighty hunter before the lord. The beginning of his kingdom was Babel.
Then, he gives a bunch of others in the land of Shinar. Verse 11, and from the land, he went into Assyria and built Nineveh. So, Nimrod was the first powerful leader of the world after after the the flood was over and he was the first big time rebel and he established Babel and and Nineveh. Nineveh came later and and defeated the Israelites in Northern Kingdom and then Babylon came and destroyed the Southern Kingdom. Remember that?
So, throughout the Bible, these two countries represent evil and the enemies of god. So, Nimrod was the founder of that. Now, let's go to chapter 11 and with this, we're going to conclude but there's a lot here. Alright? Look at the first words.
31:22 The Tower of Babel
I don't want you to just be stuck in one area and and these people knew that and they in open rebellion being led by Nimrod stopped and said, we're not going to keep spreading out. We're going to stop right here and and we're going to build our our our own thing and so, I'm just going leave it blank for a minute. Okay. So, what what we see here in the Tower Of Babel is that man again, full of pride, we're going to make make a name for ourselves. Did you see that?
And and so they start building this this great tower, Tower Of Babel and then god says, we're we're going to stop this rebellion. We're we're going to stop this arrogance. We're going to make our name for ourselves. You know, who needs god and they're defying god and we're not going to spread out like he said. We're going to stay right here and god says, no, no, you're not and so, I'm going to confuse your tongues and then from that point on, they they they couldn't all of a sudden just like, this guy speaking in Japanese, this guy speaking in Arabic and like, what are you saying?
And then the whole project quit. Everybody spread out and then they spread through the rest of the world and that's why consequential we have the Japanese, the Chinese, the everything else. Everybody spread out. They didn't want to spread out. And the Indians and and whatever else, right?
And so but but they were rebellious. They didn't they didn't wanna do what god asked them to do specifically led by by this Nimrod, the enemy of god, this powerful man, okay? So, having said all this, let let let's kind of put it all together. Let's make sense of everything, okay? Number one, Genesis chapter three, god judged sin but he promised a savior.
33:44 God judged the world and will judge again
Noah is preaching everybody. Get in the ark because judgement is coming. What are we preaching today? Believe in Jesus because judgement is coming. The only way to be saved is through Jesus Christ.
And so that's the lesson behind this, alright? That this judgment coming and that's what we're saying. God's going to judge this world again but that's going to you have to come to Christ in order to avoid the judgment and just like they didn't believe Noah, well, are they believing us today? Very few people. Most people laugh at our at the message of the Bible.
Alright, eight twenty one, man's heart is evil and needs to be completely changed And that's why the Bible says you have to be born again. You need to have that heart transformed by Jesus Christ, by being converted, by believing in Jesus. He changes that heart of ours, that wicked heart, and gives us a heart that loves God. Then, we see in Genesis 11, man is rebellious. He's proud.
He rejects god but god still seeks to save man. God still seeks to save man. Then, notice this, god will exercise a final judgment on the world through fire and we're going to end there, believe it or not. Let's go to second Peter chapter three. So, if everybody would turn there with this, we'll conclude I want you to notice these powerful words of second Peter three and verse four and on.
I'll give you a chance to find it. Second Peter three and verse four. Alright? Seem like everybody's there. They will say, where is the promise of his coming?
Ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation. For they deliberately overlooked this fact that the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of god and that by means of these, the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. Genesis chapter six through nine. But by the same word, the heavens and the earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and the destruction of the ungodly. But do not overlook this fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day, the Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient towards you.
Listen, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. That is, everybody keeps thinking it's not going to happen. God's not going to judge. Yes, he is.
Yes, he's going to judge. And then the heavens will pass away with a roar and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved and the earth and all the works that are done on it will be exposed. Since all of these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people are you to be in lives of holiness and godliness? Waiting for the hastening of the coming of the day of god because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved and the heavenly bodies will melt as a burn. But according to this to his promise, we are waiting new heavens and new earth in which righteousness dwells and so god is making it clear today that just as people didn't believe that judgement was coming during the times of Noah, today, many people don't believe.
But god says, look, I'm going to judge again because you you know that the world is sinful and rejecting god but I'm going to judge again by fire. And the only reason god hasn't done it yet is because he's waiting for you to repent. To get right because god is so merciful that he wants to save many from eternal punishment and so I'm going to come again and I'm going to judge but this time, not only am I going to judge the earth but this time the heavens even are going to be burned up. This judgment is coming and god is so patient waiting for you to repent and to say, you know what? I need salvation.
I need salvation and that's the plea of god today to get right with him and the only way to do that is through Jesus Christ who died on the cross for your sins and resurrected so that you can be forgiven. Wow. Listen, if you haven't trusted him, god is like once again speaking as as he was in the days of Noah. Judgement is coming. It could come.
It's gonna come like a thief at any time and you better be ready and so that's the application of what we learned today that god is indeed not putting up a sin. He will judge but he's calling out so that people could repent and be saved and not have to be judged when that day comes. If you wanna know more about this, I'd be happy to talk to you once we're done and tell you about the lord Jesus. Let's pray. Father, thank you for your word.
Thank you for for what you teach us of what happened in the past and the fact that you did judge. But you're so gracious and you provide a way for man to be forgiven and to have eternal life. Pray that if there's someone here who has yet to trust you, that even today, they would turn to you for the salvation of their souls. Be with us, Lord, as we go home now, we pray. In Jesus' name, amen.
