Outline and transcript

0:00 Introduction and the Gospel

It's nice to be with you here again. I thank you for

being in the local testimony here on The subject I'm going to speak on today is on the Lord's Supper. Let's pray before we start. Our gracious God and heavenly Father, we thank you that we belong to Christ, those who have trusted him as their savior. We pray earnestly, our father, to widen our group if anyone is not saved that they might be awakened as to their need and trust the Lord for their salvation. We pray to help us with this wonderful subject that thrills our hearts, and let us see our father wonderful things from the word of God.

And we pray, father, to bless the word as we ask it in the name of the Lord Jesus. The subject I'm gonna speak about is very dear to my heart. It's the Lord's Supper. Don't let anybody tell you it's the Lordly Supper. It's the supper that belongs to the Lord, the Lord's supper.

And before I speak on that, I just have a a little... I always like to speak few words in the gospel. Because if we have among us anyone that has not trust the Lord as their savior, I'd just like to say a few words on that subject. I'm just gonna use the apostle Peter in Acts four and twelve. This is what he said speaking that there is no other one but the Lord Jesus.

He said neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. That excluded him, that excluded all the apostles, that excluded all the prophets, excluded Moses, and the teaching excluded everyone else. And the Lord said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me. That's the highest authority.

That's a divine speaker. And then in first Timothy, we read, it says, therefore there is one God, there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. There's one God, one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus who gave himself a ransom for all. It's amazing that the scriptures are very clear. We come to a second thing.

Why? He said, where we must be saved. And the reason is this. John chapter three, it tells us God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth on him should not perish but have everlasting life. God himself sent his son to be the savior of the world.

He gave his son sacrificially on the cross for the for the purpose of this, that anyone who believes on the son, remember, is the only one you can be saved through. Whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God has sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him, him alone might be saved. And here's what it is. It says, what must I do to be saved?

The apostle was asked and the answer was believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. And the other thing is in the Gospel of John chapter three, which I call the gospel there is love, great love manifested. And the other side of John three, a great a great fear fills the rest of the chapter. Here what it says. He that believeth on the son is not condemned.

Good news. Wonderful. He that believeth not the son is condemned already. If you haven't trusted Christ as your savior, just don't take a chance. God has decided.

You are already condemned. You don't have to wait to die to find out where am I going to be. He that believeth on the son he that believeth on the son is not condemned. He that believeth not the son shall not see life, the end of chapter 36, but the wrath of God abideth on him. So where are you?

Condemned already and the wrath of God is still... You're you're holding it in your whole being. And the advantage for you is this. Now is the accepted time. Now is the day of salvation.

If you shall confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God hath risen from the dead, you shall be saved. No question about it. God speaking does not mince words. So from a state of being condemned, you move to a state of what? You will be delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of the son of his love.

That's what every believer has been doing. That's translated from being condemned already to being blessed forever, have eternal life, shall never perish, shall not come into judgment, is not condemned. So please, if you're not saved, now is the time. Don't be like the ones of old who said this harvest is past, the summer has ended, and we're not saved. The opportunity that came in lifetime, that's what the rich man found out.

Abraham told him, you in your lifetime, you had all the opportunities. And Lazarus was... So in this lifetime, the son of man has power on earth to forgive sins. So trust the Lord as your savior. And you will be the happiest man that walked the earth.

And you will have peace inside you never knew. And every morning, whether it's raining or snowing, you say, thank God I am in Christ. Thank God that Christ is my savior. Thank God that I was washed in the blood of Christ. Now we're going to come back to...

6:57 The Lord's Supper and Old Testament Pictures

But the worship meeting is the breaking of bread. And I'm gonna say some things here before I read what I have to read. And the the Lord's Supper, we are called in first Corinthians five and seven. It says, for Christ, our Passover, has been, not his sacrifice, has been sacrificed for us. Let us keep the feasties and so on.

In the Old Testament, we have actually pictures. Whatsoever things were written before time were written for our learning, And they are not applied to us in any shape or form. They fell under the old covenant. But it was the mind of God that he wanted to be with his people on the earth. He delivered them out of Egypt from the bondage and slavery, and they were there.

You you... We don't have to speak about how bad they they were treated. And he bring him... Brought him into the cross of Red Sea, and he brought him into through the wilderness. And there at the precious time that they had that God was guiding them, the cloud, the the fiery pillar at night and the cloud by day to keep the but presence of God was so obvious, so real.

But he said to them, told Moses, let them build me a sanctuary. Let them build me a sanctuary that I might dwell among them. Dwell, it says, in the midst of them. That's what the word did. I wanted to dwell in the midst of them.

And he gave them the construction how it should be from a to z. They cannot deviate from it. According to the pattern showed thee on the mount. And the tabernacle was built and God's presence came in and filled the tabernacle. And the place of the tabernacle where God was was the holy of holies.

He was separated from them. They couldn't see him. They couldn't touch him. They couldn't come right into the holy of holies. They will die.

But he was in the midst of them. He loved them. He said he loved them immensely, but there was no way that he can come and they can approach God. So have they also have under the old economy, the various feasts, the seven feasts of Jehovah. They have the the offerings, the various offerings.

They were to offer for sin and for this. Starts with the burnt offering. You know, they have the burnt offering. You have the meal offering. You have the sin offering.

You also have a drink offering which everybody forgets. And they have the trespass offering and so on. And they all speak of one thing. In case there was an infraction of anything, they were to offer those sacrifices. But the Passover was the month when they were delivered out of Egypt and they put the blood on the door, on the doorpost, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you.

And there was redemption in Egypt from their life was spared. The Egyptians did not spare so well. So the Passover was, he said, they were to do that every year, and they were to do it for... Keep the Passover, and they made to tell also their children, teach them what it speaks about, how they were slaves in Egypt, bound for hell, you know, bound for various judgments and various torture, and God delivered him with a mighty hand. The Passover was when they brought the lamb, as you remember, was to be the first year.

It has to be perfect. It can't be lame or so on. And and they were to kill him, bring him on the tenth day and to kill him on the fourteenth day to observe him for four days, make sure he's perfect. And that speaks, of course, what I read you a verse in first Corinthians five and seven. That was an animal Passover.

And furthermore, when everything was built, Moses took the blood and sprinkled all the tabernacle, the the books, sprinkle also the the various service for the tabernacle, not only... So everything was sprinkled and sprinkled the people with blood at the time when the construction of the tabernacle was made. But it says here in Hebrews, it says he took... Well, quotation from the Old Testament. It says he took the blood of goats and bulls and sprinkled those things.

12:16 Christ's Sacrifice and the New Covenant

He died and was raised. He says, I am he that died and behold, I am alive forevermore. And remember, the other one is a type, the Lord is the substance. The sacrifices they offer on the Jewish altar were all they typify Christ's offering one way or another speaks of Christ. So we come in the New Testament and we read out on the institution of the Lord's Supper because we don't keep a Passover.

We don't keep animals like the old days animals. We have now more precious things. We are not restricted like they were. The sacrifice that freed us and gave us life is once for all, never to be repeated. It did it forever.

He hath perfected forever them that are sanctified or set apart, that is, or above God. And we have been sanctified by the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. For by one offering, one offering only, it's for all time. Never its value diminished because he bore our sins way back there. We weren't even born.

He knew all of them because God said, God laid on him the inequities of us all. We could never go to him and tell him all the sins we've done. Can we? We don't know all of them, do we? But he bore our sins in his own body on the tree.

He shed his blood. That's the day one of the feast was the atonement, the day of atonement. And that's on the cross, that was the day the substance of the shadowy feast of... That we refer to as the day of atonement because Christ on the cross, answer to God for all our sins. He was holy, harmless, and defiled, and separate from sinners.

He could not sin. He did not sin. He was no no chance at no... Nothing in him that would be... Would go, to prove that he could have sinned.

He was divine. And all those... He was as holy on the cross as he was, but he deliberately gave himself sacrificially. And on the cross, he shed the blood and says, we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our sins. We have.

We possess it now for all time. Never escapes us. Never leaves us. So the thing is that you have here, you have a finished offering, never more. God will need to have a veil between us like with the children of Israel.

Only the high priest could go into the holy of holies. And there was a veil. There was no veil anymore. We see Christ without unveiled face. That's what it said...

It means there. That Christ, we see him with unveiled face. There is no more of that. It says that the sacrifice of Christ so magnified God and brought justice and so pleased God that it was so sufficient that on the cross he said, it is finished. He came to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself, and on the cross said, it's finished.

The work he came to do to put away sin and say this and it's completed forever. Perfect tense. Never do we lose its value, never to be repeated again. It's finished. And now we read in the Hebrew epistle.

16:08 Boldness to Enter God's Presence

So when we come into the presence of God, we are coming not that he's a far distance, that he's here. Where two or three are gathered together unto my name, there am I in the midst of them. There is... You can see him, true, but his word is as go... As good as gold.

We... Even though we don't see him, we know he's here. He told us he's here. And not only that, Christ dwelleth. It says, Christ liveth in me and the Holy Spirit has sealed us and dwells in us.

And each local assembly is considered, it says, know ye not that ye are the temple of God and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you, telling the Corinthians. Don't you know how great a position you occupy? And the word for temple is the sanctuary, the inner shrine. Know ye not that ye are the sanctuary of God. And in Ephesians we are told we are the habitation of God through the spirit.

We are... Every time we gather, we come. There ought to be that fear, that divine presence is there, and we come to the Lord's Supper. So now I'm gonna read about the Lord's Supper. Two things are told...

18:10 Ordinances: Baptism and Lord's Supper

When we come to the Lord's Supper, it's the assembly, the group. It's not one individual. It's collectively. You see, we come to the Lord's Supper. We break the bread when we break the bread.

18:37 The Institution of the Lord's Supper

I'm going to tell you the the time of verse... Chapter 22 of Luke, gospel of Luke, and, it's mentioned in the three synoptic gospels, the Lord's Supper. That is a historic gospel. It's not mentioned in John. John's gospel and John's epistles do not show or speak of of baptism, of the ordinance of baptism or of the Lord's Supper.

He's a different... But he's the one who after the resurrection speaks of more things about the Lord. Anyway, John. And so we're gonna read now. It says here verse one and twenty two.

Now at the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover. And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might order. It's the Passover time, isn't it? Passover. They called it unleavened bread because they could not use leaven in all their houses and in all their possessions during that week.

Leaven has to be put out of their way. Leaven in the Bible speaks of sin, not of sin, sin allowed. Sin allowed. I like this definition by mister Grant. He said it's sin allowed.

Not only it is sin, alright, but it's sin allowed. And and unleavened bread, they were not to do that. But then verse 14, when the hour was come, he sat down and the 12 apostles with him. And he said unto them with desire, I have desire to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. Suffer.

He said, with desire, he wanted to eat this Passover. This last Passover of that dispensation. He said, with desire, I wanna eat it with you, he said. And, before I suffer. For I say unto you, I will not anymore eat thereof until it be full...

Fulfilled in the kingdom of God. He said, and, he took the cup and gave thanks. That's not the Lord's Supper. Don't get that mistaken. There are two suppers here.

This cup belonged to Old Testament where they drank the cup, and it was yayin, real wine. They drank they drank on that. And he he... Listen what he said. And gave thanks and said, take this and divide it among yourselves.

For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God shall come. That is fulfilled in the kingdom of God and his death. When he will rise again, he will eat with them and he will meet them on the seashore and he will eat fish with them. But anyway, and now we come to the Lord's supper. And he took bread and gave thanks and break it and gave unto them saying, this is my body which is given for you.

This do in remembrance of me. This word remembrance mentioned four times in the testament. It means the calling me to mine. Vine's dictionary said, effectually calling me to mine. And and it's the recalling.

It's going back. It's not where he is in the glory. Going back, back in time. But but this is his... He said, this do in remembrance of me.

Likewise also the cup after supper saying this cup is a new covenant. Not the word testament. The word covenant is the same word actually in the original, but here it only relates to covenant. For this is the new covenant in my blood which is shed for you. Now it's not that many verses.

He took the bread and broke it and said, this is my body which is given for you. It says, broke for you or given for you. And this do in remembrance of me. All Passover, we finished with that. We even drank the cup, and that was the end of that supper, he said.

Now we came in a new thing. This is a new one. This is Christ our Passover. He's gonna die. He's the fulfillment, and the substance of that feast of the Passover that spoke of the dying lamb that was the cause of the deliverance from Egypt.

So he said, this do in remembrance of me. It's very important to remember also that this was done... It was done on the on the... It was done on the Lord's day, on the on the first day of the week, the day of his resurrection. And the law...

And they and they continue doing that in in the New Testament on the seventh day. And what we read about that is that in Acts chapter two and forty two, it says these new believers that were saved, 3,000 of them at the preaching of at the preaching of Peter. They were saved and they were added to the assembly. That's a local church. They were part of the church already when you believe you're a member of the universal church.

But they were local... They locally gathered to the church at Jerusalem. And it says they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and the fellowship and the breaking of bread and the prayer. They... Before...

In either one of those four things, you put the word the definite article, the the prayer, the fellowship. So they continued steadfastly in the breaking of bread. The apostles were there, and they were doing it. And they continue doing it, not only doing that, but doing also the apostles' teaching because we are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets. That is the apostles were the one who were given by the Lord to give us the doctrinal things that we have today with us.

And what we have here is a significant one, the Lord's Supper. The current believers come to remember the Lord, only bread and only wine, yet to face the solemn sign. How wonderful it is that he wants us to do that. And, it'd in remembrance and calling him to mind, a dead Christ died for me, a Christ who died for our sins, Christ who died for the ungodly. It says, we come to the next chapter.

25:22 Observing the Lord's Supper Worthily

He said, when you came doing that, it was not to keep the Lord's Supper. He said, you're eating your own supper. He said, does not. Then he said, verse 23, for I have received of the Lord that which I... Which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus, the same night in which he was betrayed, took bread.

That's where we go to Luke chapter 22. He took bread. That's after the cup for the the Jewish Passover, he took bread. That's where we start. It says he took bread.

And, verse 23, he received of the Lord. He did not get that information from the apostles around him because he was not walking the... With the Lord on on the earth at the time. He met the lord on the way to Damascus, and then the lord spoke to him and called him. And he told him how many things he must suffer too.

Not only he sent him to be his apostle, to Jew, Gentile, and and and also to kings and princes and so on. But he also has said to Ananias, he must suffer. How many things he must suffer for my sake? And here we said he received from the lord directly. It's the divine reception.

It was not... He didn't learn it from somebody else. And Luke, the writer of the gospel, and he was he was a helper to Paul. He was with Paul so, so many places. But here he said he received it from the Lord that the Lord Jesus on the night that he was betrayed, he says he took bread.

And here's what he said. Take, he said, this is my body which is broken for you. This do, again, here's the word remembrance, in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup when he had supped saying, this cup is a new covenant in my blood. This do ye as often as you drink it in remembrance of me.

That is a new revelation. We do not read that in the... Any of the other gospel. Yeah. As often as you either.

What he meant, they were eating the labor, getting the love feast, and some were poor, didn't have anything to eat, bringing their suppers in, and some were getting drunk. He said every time you keep the Lord's Supper, it is the Lord's Supper. Whether you do it a thousand times or whether you do it, it doesn't matter. As often as you do this, it's the Lord's Supper. Forget what you were doing in the previous verses when you were meeting having divisions among you and when some were getting drunk, some bringing fashionable food around, and the other were poor, didn't have a chance to eat anything good.

They were starving there. He said, you don't bring any supper here. Every time you break this bread and drink this cup, just these two, he said. Drink this cup. He said, as often you do it, you do it.

He said, as of... As often as you do it, he was, saying, as often as you drink it in remembrance of me, and for as often as you eat this bread, it's bread. It didn't change a thing. And drink this cup, and still a cup. It didn't...

There's no no magnificent results were there at this time than when we break bread or drink the cup. It's still bread and still one, but what it represents, Christ himself. Remember me, him. Him in the most humble way. His suffering.

That's Him. His death on the crucifixion. That's Him. The, suffering he endured at the hands of God. That's Him.

29:11 Remembering Christ's Death

That's what the word is. And if you like to get other translation, it says unworthy or in unworthy. What was the unworthy manner? They were getting drunk. They were getting on the Lord's Supper.

They were fighting among one another. They're having divisions and sects were being... So this is not faith. You were... You're beside yourself.

He said, that was eaten unworthy in an unworthy manner, he said. But every believer, save, unless he's under discipline for some moral reason or other reason and out of the fellowship, as long as they're in the fellowship. And you cannot leave a believer even if he comes from a denomination. It doesn't matter. If you know him, he's a believer and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

And you know and you know, especially if you know they get... You said this is a this is a place where you cannot hear. You don't have to have blood test to receive a believer who trusted Christ as savior unless, of course, the assembly, has someone that has put out a fellowship for... Not gonna go over that now. It's another time.

But every believer is the one who is supposed to remember the Lord. This is the honor. This is the worship meeting. And then we go on and said, for he that eateth and and for he that eateth and drinketh unworthy and unworthy manner, eateth and drinketh. It says here, the word damnation in King James is judgment, you see.

The krumah, the lord's judgment at the cross, his charge was, This is Jesus speaking about the... On him, the king of Israel and so forth. But this one here, it's like unworthy. It's not... It's really...

It's not doing him any good, and he's not doing the lord any good if he keep doing what they were doing up there. For this cause, he says, many are weak and sickly. They're saved, but because of what they were doing here, that was a major thing. Many are weak... Sick and many...

It's not anybody that gets sick is because of that. But in this case, it tells us what they were doing, and then that's why many were sickly and one... Many said, many sleep, died. That is for if we would judge ourselves. Here, the word judge is scrutinize, evaluate our insight before we come to the lord's death...

At the table. And before we come to remember the lord, we have to do that. You see, examine ourselves and still... And... But it says, and then then let him drink.

Let him eat, he said. If we would scrutinize or evaluate ourselves, we would not be judged, he said. We would not get sick or for... On the purpose here or, be taken out, in death, he said. But when we are judged or...

By the Lord or this... It's not the same word judgment when you have judgment of believer. We are chasing or disciplined. The word is discipline of the Lord that we should not be condemned of the world. The Lord is...

He discipline. One does not have... Anyone is not under this some kind of discipline in their life here and there, It says they are not children, but they are... That was the word anyway. You know what...

Which word it is referred to. Then wherefore, my brethren, when you come together to to eat, that is to eat the Lord's supper, tarry one for another. Don't come one... Wait. Come at the same time, you see, appointed time.

If any man hunger, let him eat at home. Because as often as he eat this bread, drink this cup, you're doing what? You're showing you proclaim. Actually, the word there, is proclaim the lord's death here because, for if any man hunger, let him eat at home that you come not together unto judgment or, and the rest will set in order. What he is saying, as often as we eat this bread, remember the verse?

When we drink this cup, we do proclaim the lord's death. That's what we are doing, and that's very serious. When you come and you dwell upon the lord and upon his... What what he did for us and dying on the cross and suffering and bearing our sins and get... Judged by God, judged by mankind.

Thy death of life and sorrow was like unto thy birth, which no glory borrow, no majesty from earth. Born in a manger and, you know, was cradled in a manger, and then it says here, dying on a cross. At the cross, he was judged by God. On earth, he was judged by mankind. Their judgment was wrong.

They were evil. They condemned the real one. They... They... But what they meant for evil, God meant it for our good.

34:18 Different Views on the Lord's Supper

That was fixed by the council of Trent in 1550. They met for eighteen years. They went through five popes. And the last pope, he finished his edict, and they assigned that when Christ dies, here's what it reads. By the consecration of the bread and wine, the entire substance of the bread is converted into the substance of the body of Christ, our Lord, and the entire substance of wine into the substance of his blood, which conversion is by the Catholic church fidelity and rightly termed transubstantiation.

And they refer to it as body, blood, soul, and divinity, he says, of Christ is in the emblems when the priest put put... Presses... Says the few words that they add. What a what a mockery. It's like crucifying Christ again because that's what they call it, the the mass, because by one offering, he offered himself once.

I'm alive, he said. Nevermore will he sacrifice be repeated. And so this business that you drink in the body, and they believe it. They believe it. You see?

I told my cousin, I said, then when the lord said, am the door, then he's the door. It's a door. But get your door there and use it for that and some other things. Then we have consubstantiation. We thank God on the Protestant side when they finally...

Here's what they said. Some Protestants originated, of course, by Martin Luther when he had that debate. I'm sure you all read the church history between him and Zwingel. They couldn't even... He couldn't even get the guy.

All he could say, this is my body. This is my... He was going through him trying to tell him. Zwingel was the one who was right at time. Luther's idea was that the bread and wine remained just what they were before, real bread and real wine.

But there was also together with the bread and wine the material substance of Christ's human body. That's quotation. And he held that after the prayer of consecration, while the bread and wine remained unchanged, yet in some mysterious way, Christ was communicated to the to the partaker, whether he is a believer, listen to this, or not. Once because there's some... That spiritual thing, you know, he's talking about.

Or believe it or not, he denied that the Lord's Supper was a sacrifice like the Catholics do or that the body of Christ in the element was to be worshipped. But he maintained that the body of Christ was there nevertheless and was received by the communicant. Well, if you just stick to the scriptures, you know, as often as we eat this bread and drink this cup. Nothing said about eating his body. When the Lord was speaking, my body is food and did...

He was talking when he gives it in sacrifice that will bring life to us, sustenance of life. But anyway... And here's the other one, impenation. That's one of the favorite of Calvin. Here's what it reads.

This is the reformed view, of course, that's speaking of that. I'm not talking about people's life or what kind of saints they were. Don't don't misunderstand. I'm just telling you who or were they propagated by and still adhere to. Calvin said, while he rejected transubstantiation and consubstantiation, yet he could not wholly divest himself of the idea that some spiritual virtue was in the elements.

He thought that the communicant received Christ who is spiritually present in the elements, spiritually present in the bread and wine that is, but only by faith. You know? So he's going... He says, quote it again, that sacred communion of flesh and blood by which Christ transfuses his life in us just as if he penetrated our bones and marrow. He testifies and seals in the supper and that not by presenting a vain and empty sign, but by these exerting an efficacy efficacy of the spirit by which he he fulfills what he promised.

What he's saying here, this is the thing that leads to salvation. You know? It would go... I mean, believe if you partake a lot of supper, you might say that by faith, he receives the blessing of salvation. That's what it means.

You know? But, anyway, we are of the fourth opinion. It's a memorial of Christ's death. That's what it is. No bread changes.

No cup changes. But what we are, the bread speaks of that body at the cross that would die for us to suffer. And the cup speaks of the blood that was shed. And thank God. One more thing I'd like to mention.

Like on Acts twenty and seven, Apostle Paul was on a fast journey to Jerusalem to make a certain date there. He was in a hurry. He came there and he had to wait seven days until they broke bread on the lord's day, on the seventh day of the week. He waited for the breaking of bread to take place so he can participate in that. See how important it is?

It's very important. And, I hope when we do it, we should dwell more on what he suffered, what he did on the cross. It says, remember in my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall, My soul hath them still in remembrance and is humble within me. That's how he was feeling at the cross. Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and I sink under all thy waves addressing the father.

The wrath of God was like a flood of water, he said. But, you know, our brother read about the... With strong strong tears and crying unto him that was able to deliver him, not from death. It's out of death. The word from should be out of death.

Once having died. So our lord is the only one that can save, is the only one that worthy to worship, and he's the only one who gave this instructions. We ought to keep it. And love should flow from our hearts to think, what a wonderful thing. We get together here, all of us, with one mind to remember what him and what he did.

Remember, go back, recall it, and say thank God for his thank God for his unspeakable gift. Let's pray. Our gracious God and heavenly Father, we thank thee for all the blessed Lord, that he came from the glories of heaven and all the way to Calvary. And we thank thee that on the cross, he, our father, the holy one, and that suffered under our sins. Christ hath once for all suffered for sins, the just for the unjust that he might bring us to thee.

We thank thee that God laid on on him the iniquity of us all... Iniquities of us all. Although he was the man of sorrows and acquainted with grief, and he was rejected by men and judged by God, we thank thee was triumphant at last. The grave could not hold its prey, Jesus, my savior. He tore the bars away, Jesus, my lord.

We thank that he is seated at the right hand of God, and we do this. Until he comes, we will need no more bread and wine to remember him. We will see him face to face what a day that will be. We can almost hear his footfall on the threshold of the door, and our hearts our hearts are longing to be with him forevermore. Help us, our father, to us to bring all our worship and our thoughts and our love and our, what we do, our father, on those day in genuineness and reality that we are in the presence of God.

We are in the holy of holies, and we came to worship the one whose face is unveiled unlike in the Old Testament. We thank thee for him as thy part and blessing in the name of the Lord Jesus.
